Stainless steel shot is also known as stainless steel shot, stainless steel shot, stainless steel wire shot. At present, the generally recognized production method is the cast stainless steel shot obtained by melting and atomizing cooling. The English name is cast stainless steel shot. The second production method is the stainless steel shot obtained by cutting and rounding stainless steel wire, stainless steel shot and stainless steel shot. The second production method is stainless steel shot, English name. It is: "conditioned stainless steel cut wire shot", which translates into: "passivated stainless steel wire cutting shot", in which passivation represents rounding the edges and corners of both ends of the cylinder; stainless steel wire represents raw material; cutting shot represents cutting. For this reason, Germany and the international organization for standardization have specially formulated corresponding product standards of the second method: din8021-4-1985, SAE AMS 2431 / 4-1996 conditional stainless steel cut wire shot. In the standards, the roundness of stainless steel shot after shot blasting passivation of cylindrical stainless steel wire cut shot is indicated by G1, G2 and G3 marks respectively.

The cast stainless steel shot obtained by melting and atomizing cooling mainly includes American Ervin company and German Vulkan company. A large number of G1, G2 and G3 stainless steel balls were produced by cutting and rounding stainless steel wires. As early as 1980s, frohn company in Germany, pelletllc company in the United States, Kramer company in Germany, chircu company in Romania, etc.

430 ferrite type: C < 0.25%, Cr = 16-18%, Si < 1%, Mn < 1%

316 austenite type: C ≤ 0.08%, Cr = 16-18%, Ni = 10-14%, Si ≤ 1%, Mn ≤ 2.00%, Mo = 2-3%
